Artist Statement: 

Inward Reflection 

The artist is often visually anonymous when it comes to making and displaying art, the signature and imagery is sometimes all an audience has to go on. The self portrait is a way to break the anonymity of an artist's work and bring the creator into the public eye- a self portrait can even reveal unknowns to the artist themselves during the art making process; a way of reflecting the artists own self, not just visually but psychologically. 

Artist Bio:

Red Cesafsky is a Lynchburg based artist born in May 1995; they graduated from Lynchburg College with a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Art in May 2018.
