“With each iteration, my practice grows further away from a methodical material study and towards a series of quiet self-projections…. These projections, although specifically mine in origin, do not belong to me for long; they fluctuate over time and distinctly vary within each individual’s experience of them. As these line drawings of chalk grow, the surrounding materials and surfaces they occupy reflect alternate perspectives for the duration of each engagement; permanent or temporary.”
Clark received her MFA with Concentration in Textiles at California College of the Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Furniture Design & Construction from Rhode Island School of Design. Her work has been exhibited in several states, including Rhode Island, Massachusetts, California, New Jersey and New York. She will be creating a unique, site-specific installation in our gallery using chalk snapline tools.
