ARTIST BIO
Megan Elizabeth Guzik (M.G) is a practicing artist and dancer from Winchester, VA. She holds a BA in Studio Art and Dance from Randolph College and a license in Interior Design from the New York Institute of Art and Design. She is currently working as the Exhibits Preparator at Amazement Square and co-manages a performing arts studio: Kaleidoscope Studio of the Arts, on Fifth Street. Megan has exhibited at the Senior Show at the Maier Museum and has curated her own exhibition: HISTORY! She Wrote at Randolph College in the spring of 2019. Her artwork is included in the permanent collection of the Fraternity of Saint George in France as well as the Online United Art Gallery: Justice For All; based out of Austria. She has done various performance art pieces locally such as her work: It's Going To Hurt, at the Reel Resilience Film Festival in 2020. Megan has worked with numerous choreographers including Take Ueyama, Jill Echo, Nana Tseudo, Lori Belilove, and Gentry Isaiah George. She has also danced with the Amsterdam Dance Centre with Meike Stevens.
Specializing in performance art and sculpture, Megan's work poses a connection between body and space as well as raising awareness to humanity's most celebrated and destructive qualities. She hopes that her artworks will continue to create a dialogue between her viewers and their inner-selves as well as allowing them to form a relationship with the world around them.
