ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Paul John Elliott has a background in animation and fine arts from Sheridan College and Central Technical School of Fine Arts in Toronto, Ontario. He has worked worldwide in the animation industry from 1989 – 2002, on various projects in Canada, Germany, China, France, South Korea, Poland, and Latvia. More recently he has worked on portraits, a series focusing on anatomy, and published a book of cartoons. He founded his own Therapeutic Service company, where he primarily uses techniques like NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT)® Active Isolated Stretching™ (AIS) and Myofascial Therapy. (http://pjetherapeutics.ca/) From his artist statement: “As a therapist I see the inherent chaos involved in human connectivity. I experience this on physical, emotional and even spiritual planes. My work depicts the emotional exchange – and my empathy for – another’s physical (as well as emotional and spiritual) restrictions.”

Randy Akers has worked as a professional visual artist and designer since 1979 and served as professor at the School of Visual Arts in New York, Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, and Cazenovia College in New from 1986-2011. His work has been in exhibitions and in private collections across the nation. Featured in the exhibition, will be a series titled (words + pictures).
