The opening reception of Chorus will take place in the Craddock-Terry Gallery on Friday, January 8th, 2016. 5:30 – 8:00 pm.
Through his performative manipulation on individuals’ lived experiences and intervention in intellectual legacies, Tuo Wang’s practice attempts to examine the unreliable relationship between the contemporary human status, myth and cultural archive. In the self-referential environments that he constructs, dramatic, often humorous, and absurd aspects of the concept of society are exposed. His work has recently exhibited in Taiwan, Albania, Egypt, and New York. Tuo Wang is currently an artist-in-residence at the Queens Museum.
On view through February 19th. Gallery hours are 12-5 pm Wednesday-Sunday or by appointment; free and open to the public.
