Imaginarium

Merrill Steiger’s paintings are informed by collages of anthropology, archaeology, cosmic imagery, art history, and contemporary pop culture.  In a fluid combination of realism, pointillism, and abstraction, Stieger unites universal links across a spectrum of time, space, and cultures. Imaginarium features works of bold form and earthy color that offer a simultaneous union and juxtaposition of Southwestern petroglyphs, stained glass windows, ancient architecture, Zen rock gardens, and many more images from our world and cosmos. The exhibition will open in the Craddock-Terry Gallery on First Friday, May 2nd at 5:30 pm.
