We’re back with a new RISO Workshop collab with Zine Cuisine Channel! Come out to have a good time learning about zines and making your own one-page zine with 2 ink colors.
During the workshop, you’ll work with 2 colors to create your own one-page zine!
There will also be a quick refresher on what Risograph printing is and how it works (as well as it's quirks) for newbies. We'll also be showing off examples of zines and prints created using it. Everyone will be drawing their zines on the spot, but are more than welcome to bring sketches and ideas with them too.
*Spots are limited to 6 participants. We will be requiring masks, temp checks and adhering to social distancing guidelines. The workshop will take place in the larger gallery space to allow for distancing between participants.*
Each workshop participant will get a run of 20 one-page zines using letter-size paper utilizing 2 ink colors. Feel free to trade with your fellow participants as well!

We’ll provide supplies (i.e. paper, mark-making materials, collage supplies, etc), but you’re welcome to bring your own favorites to use as well.
Just make sure you only bring black/gray tools with you, as we’ll need grayscale images to scan in.
Class Fee: $50 per participant - includes 20 printed zines and access to materials (paper, mark-making materials, collage supplies, etc)

Stephen Kissel is the Education and Media Manager at Riverviews. He also works as an illustrator and cartoonist on a variety of projects. When not making things, he might be found searching for the perfect bagel, buying too many books, or spending time with his partner and menagerie of pets.
