The sequel to the 1931 hit based on Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein. Frankenstein’s Monster (Boris Karloff) is in need of a friend, and Dr. Frankenstein’s (Colin Clive) old mad mentor Pretorius (Ernest Thesiger) wants a dead body to be reanimated into a living woman. This leaves the doctor no choice but to make a bride (Elsa Lanchester) for his creature.  Directed by James Whale, produced by Carl Laemmle Jr., written by William Hurlbut (Screenplay and Adaptation) and John L. Balderson (Adaptation).
