The Collaborative work of Edgar Endress and Chris Rackley

The opening reception will be First Friday,  March 3rd from 5:30 – 8:00 pm with the gallery talk beginning at 6:00 pm. The exhibition will be on view through Friday, April 21st. The Craddock-Terry Gallery is free and open to the public 12-5 pm Wednesday through Sunday.

The title   /ˌənreprəˈzen(t)əd/  is the pronunciation for “unrepresented.” The exhibition will feature works from two projects that focus on the historical and contemporary oppression and the reaction from the oppressed. Work from The History of Wild Rice and Princess Pigs tells the story of continued imperialism involvement in Haiti throughout history and the subsequent appropriation of its people and culture. Partnered with these images will be text to narrate the historical episode depicted. In addition, there will be several 3-dimensional representations of contemporary social movements and protests from a commission for the 2016 CreativeTime Stage Summit DC. Modeled after Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel Ceiling, the figures and motifs depicted include, but not limited to; the Pussy Riot group, Global Warming, the Occupy Movement, endangered species, and the Black Lives Matter Movement.
